Who we are

Solva Labs LLC is a Minnesota limited liability company. We publish Wake Boom on the Apple App Store and operate this website. You can reach us anytime at hi@wakeboom.app.

The short version

• The app works fully without an account — your alarms, challenges, and settings stay on your device and are never sent to us.
• Signing in (with Apple or Google) is optional and only powers the leaderboard and referrals. If you sign in, we store a little profile info — a display name, an account ID, and, when you use Google, your email address — plus your wake-up counts so we can rank you. You can delete all of it in the app anytime.
• If you allow Health access, your sleep data is read on your device to show Insights and is never sent to us.
• Missions that use the camera work entirely on your device — no photo or video is ever taken or uploaded, and nothing the camera sees is sent to us or anyone else.
• We don't sell your data and use no advertising trackers.
• Delete your account in the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account), or email hi@wakeboom.app anytime to access or delete data we hold.

What the Wake Boom app collects

Wake Boom runs on your device and includes no third-party advertising SDKs or ad trackers. Your alarms, challenges, and preferences stay on your device. A few features send data off your device only when you use them — signing in for the leaderboard and referrals, purchases, and crash diagnostics. Each is described below.

Alarms and settings

Your alarms, challenges, and preferences are stored locally on your device by iOS. They're removed when you delete the app.

Accounts, leaderboard and referrals

You can use Wake Boom without an account. Signing in — with Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google — is optional and unlocks the weekly leaderboard and the referral program. When you sign in, we store an account identifier, a display name and avatar emoji (both of which you can change), your referral relationships, and, when you sign in with Google, your email address. Google shares your verified email so we can identify your account; Sign in with Apple does not share your email, so we don't have it for Apple-only accounts. While you're signed in, your successful wake-ups (date, time, time zone, and whether you woke on time) are sent to our server to power streaks and the leaderboard. We use this only to run these features — never for advertising. You can delete your account and all of this data in the app under Settings → Account → Delete Account.

Sleep and health data

To show your recent sleep on the Insights screen, Wake Boom can read sleep-analysis data from Apple Health (HealthKit) with your permission. This access is read-only — we never write anything to Apple Health — and your health data stays on your device; it is never sent to us or any third party, and never used for advertising. If you don't grant Health access, the app estimates your sleep on your device using motion sensors, which also never leaves your phone.

Camera missions

Some alarm missions use the camera, and everything the camera sees stays on your device. The Live Hunt mission looks for the target through the live camera view and recognizes it entirely on your device, using on-device image recognition. No photo or video is taken, nothing is uploaded, and nothing the camera sees is ever sent to us or to any third party. The QR Code mission also uses the camera to read a code and compare it with the one you registered, entirely on your device. No photo or video is taken, and nothing the camera sees, including the code it reads, is sent to us or any third party. The registered code stays on your device. Because nothing ever leaves your device, there is no image to store, sell, or use for advertising or tracking, and nothing is saved to your camera roll. If you would rather keep the camera out of your mornings, choose a mission that uses no camera at all.

Notifications

Alarms are scheduled as local notifications by iOS. No notification content is sent to our servers.

Purchases

Wake Boom offers an optional subscription, Wake Boom Premium. Purchases are processed by Apple; we do not receive or store your payment details. We use RevenueCat, Inc. to manage subscription status and verify purchases. RevenueCat receives your purchase history and a device identifier (linked to your account identifier if you sign in) to provide this service; it does not receive your payment details. Diagnostics and crash reports

To find and fix bugs and keep alarms reliable, Wake Boom uses Sentry to collect diagnostics — crash reports and basic performance data such as launch time and hang rate. We do not attach your name, email, or account to this data, so it isn't linked to your identity, and it's never used for advertising. Separately, Apple may share anonymized, aggregate diagnostics with us only if you opt in via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, which you can disable at any time from the same settings panel.

What this website collects

This website has no sign-up or waitlist form and sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our hosting provider generates standard server logs (IP address, browser user agent, pages visited) for security and abuse prevention; these are retained for no more than 30 days and are not used to build a profile of you. If you email us, we keep your message so we can reply.

How we use this information

We use what little we collect only to keep the service running, protect it from abuse, and answer your emails. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data for marketing purposes.

Third parties

We rely on a small number of service providers to run Wake Boom and this website: website and backend hosting (Cloudflare), transactional email, account sign-in (Apple and Google), subscription management (RevenueCat), and crash and performance diagnostics (Sentry). These providers are contractually required to protect your data to a standard equal to this policy and to use it only to deliver the service we've engaged them for.

Children

Wake Boom and this website are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, email hi@wakeboom.app and we'll delete it.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you. If you have an account, you can delete it and its server-side data directly in the app under Settings → Account → Delete Account. For anything else, email hi@wakeboom.app and we'll respond within 30 days. Your alarm data — and, where used, your sleep data — stays on your device, and camera missions never send an image off it.

Data retention

Account, wake-event, referral, and leaderboard data are kept while your account exists and are deleted when you delete your account. Server logs roll off after 30 days. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to help you. Camera missions never upload an image, so there is nothing for us to retain, and sleep data stays on your device.

Security

Data in transit between your device and our servers is protected with TLS. Access to stored data is restricted to people who need it to operate the service. If we ever become aware of a breach that affects your personal data, we'll notify you without undue delay.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For material changes we'll also notify you through the site or by email where appropriate.
